New Dirt 2 trailers feature fancy cars, lots of dirt

Saturday, July 25th, 2009 0 views

What do a BMW Z4 Coupe , a Subaru WRX Coupe , and a mess of big trucks have in common? They’ll all be at your disposal in upcoming rally-racer Dirt 2 , silly! Aside from the game’s striking visuals — the ones that we marveled over when we saw it last February — gameplay has always been a strong suit for Codemasters’ dirt racer. While the video above, titled “Baja Raid,” looks vaguely similar to games like Motorstorm and Pure , we expect a different, more simulation than arcade, feel from Dirt 2 . Check out the rest of the trailers after the break or head over to our sister site Big Download and snag them for yourself in full HD glory. We love to hate iTunes, and apparently so does AVG

Saturday, July 25th, 2009 0 views

There have been more than a few complaints about iTunes over the years on DownloadSquad. We’ve said it sucks , we’ve called it one of the five most annoying programs around. It’s been blasted for pushing other Apple apps we don’t want and requiring us to re-download the whole 80Mb installer every times Apple farts out a new patch or wants to block some smartphone. Within the last 24 hours, AVG has taken iTunes abuse to another level. Actions speak louder than words, after all, and an antivirus deciding to classify iTunes components as trojans? That’s hard core.

Shatter soundtrack available for a minimum of $9.99

Saturday, July 25th, 2009 0 views

What’s that? You love fist-pumping anthems? Well then, thankfully the Shatter soundtrack is now available for download. The entire 13-track playlist can be downloaded via Band Camp (insert obligatory American Pie joke here) for a minimum of $9.99. We say minimum because Band Camp allows users to pay whatever they want for the content, as long as it’s at least $9.99. So, if you want to rock out to Shatter tunes pick it up today. Heck, if you’re feeling generous you can even give them $20 for the album! This also applies if you are crazy . Original source: playstation.joystiq.com , delivered by rss-farm.ru

ESRB rating explains Dragon Age: Origins’ sexual exploits

Saturday, July 25th, 2009 0 views

Our brief E3 demo of BioWare’s upcoming massively-offline RPG Dragon Age: Origins left us fairly concerned. It seemed too much focus had been put on making the game a tawdry simulator for erotic rendezvous — however, the game’s recently released ESRB rating has assuaged our fears somewhat. According to the listing, the game features no nudity — save for a pair of female demon breasts, which clearly don’t count. While you can still shack up with your traveling cohorts, it appears any and all sweet love-making will take place off-screen. That’s sorta classy, we guess — though said class is somewhat canceled out by a brothel featured in the game that lets you hook up with “a woman, a man, a transsexual, or an animal.” We’re fairly certain that even implied in-game bestiality is enough to make it on Fox News for a week or two. Classiness rebuked! [Via VG247 ] Original source: www.joystiq.com , delivered by rss-farm.ru
