Yesterday morning, PlayStation 3 owners discovered access to Hulu was no longer functioning through the console’s Internet browser. According to Engadget , PS3 users of the video content provider were treated with an apologetic error message, citing the desired content was not available on their “platform” of choice. Engadget is quick to point out that, while Hulu’s recent Terms of Service changes make no mention of the console, changing an Internet browser’s user-string to match the console reveals it is specifically being targeted. Conspiracy theories? Throw them in the comments below while we try to clear up this cloudy situation. [Thanks to everyone who sent this in. Former Fresno State student Jonquel Brooks was sentenced to life in prison on Friday, for the 2007 shooting of four men — one of which died in the altercation. On May 7, 2007, Brooks was approached and accused of stealing a PlayStation 2 system from one of the four men. Brooks maintains he did not steal the console, and Police never recovered it from his home. The argument eventually turned violent when Brooks fired shots, striking two of the men and killing another. Following the incident Brooks, 21, fled from the scene — later surrendering to authorities. During his trial, Brooks claimed the shooting was in self defense, but prosecution argued he immediately resorted to the most extreme measures possible. According to prosecution, Brooks was known for flashing a gun and “dealing drugs.” At sentencing, the mother of the deceased (Brant Daniels) forgave Brooks, calling him “a good kid who made a wrong choice.” Fresno County Superior Court sentenced Brooks to 25 years for the first-degree murder of Daniels.

Sites like Rapidshare and Megaupload tend to be used heavily by music blogs and other sites that don’t have the bandwidth or the storage space to handle a high volume of downloads. Even the biggest mirror services can get bogged down, though. Sometimes one mirror will be slow, your file will be taken down, or you’ll reach the limited number of downloads some sites allow. Mirroring your file on several services at once is a possible solution, and DropRecord makes it easy to upload to all of them at once. Ok, so maybe DropRecord doesn’t upload to every single mirror out there, but it hits around a dozen sites, most of which you’ve probably heard of: the aforementioned Rapidshare and Megaupload, Zshare, Mediafire and Sendspace are all included. You can also search DropRecord for files people have uploaded with it

NetDrive is a Windows utility that lets you treat remote FTP sites as if they were local drives. The first time you connect to an FTP site, you have to create a profile. But once you’re connected you can copy files to and from the FTP site using Windows Explorer or any other file explorer of your choosing. No FTP client required. To disconnect from the FTP server, just bring up the NetDrive window again and hit the disconnect button. You can also configure NetDrive to automatically map an FTP site as a Windows drive every time your computer boots up
