To be honest, we never expected it to happen. We’re so used to Japan getting awesome PS1 titles that never come to the US or Europe, we just assumed Final Fantasy VII would be one of them . The ESRB says otherwise, however, as it has rated the game for both the PSP and PS3, meaning that we could see it release at any time. Wouldn’t that make make a great E3 week treat? Whether this will be released in Europe is at the whim of Square Enix, though there is no listing for the game on the European ESRB equivilent, PEGI. Like Resident Evil: Director’s Cut , this may be exclusive to America. [Thanks to everyone who sent this in] Original source: playstation.joystiq.com , delivered by rss-farm.ru

Twitter has a lot of untapped potential in the world of play. A fast, nimble social network could spawn all kinds of cool games, but I don’t think it’s there yet. Spymaster , a new game that quickly flew up the ranks of Twitter’s trending topics this week, lets you play spy and assassinate your Twitter friends, but for those of us who aren’t playing, the notifications for it are pretty annoying. You may have already received DMs from your friends asking you to join their spy rings, or seen level up announcements and assassination attempts posted under the #spymaster hashtag. There’s a way to turn the announcements off, but most people apparently haven’t found it yet.

When Activision announced Guitar Hero 5 , we knew little more than the game would include some notes , and possibly a popular ditty or two . Now, we know all sorts of stuff, like the proposed ” Band Moments ” and the game’s release date ( 9/1/09 ). But, we still haven’t seen anything on what we’ve all wanted to know: The included artists. Now, we’re happy to report that would-be rockers and rockettes now have a definitive list of talent featured in Activision’s latest cash generator music rhythm game. And, it’s staggering . So much so that we were forced to place the info past the break, for fear of an avalanche on the front page. Guitar Hero 5 ’s featured artists: 3 Doors Down A Perfect Circle AFI Arctic Monkeys Attack! Attack! UK Band Of Horses Beastie Boys Beck Billy Idol Billy Squier Blink-182 Blur Bob DylanBon Jovi Brand New Bush Children Of Bodom Coldplay Darker My Love Darkest Hour David Bowie Deep Purple Dire Straits Duran Duran Eagles Of Death Metal Elliott Smith Elton John Face To Face Garbage Gorillaz Gov’t Mule Grand Funk Railroad Iggy Pop Iron Maiden Jeff Beck Jimmy Eat World John Mellencamp Johnny Cash Kaiser Chiefs King Crimson Kings Of Leon Kiss Love and Rockets Megadeth M

There are plenty of things I’d love to quit reading about, and the EU’s continued moaning about unfair browser bundling is pretty high on the list. We get it. You (and a number of competitors) think Microsoft needs to do something more substantial than allow users to uninstall/disable/burn down Internet Explorer. Your latest fabulous idea? A download dashboard, which will present a number of browsers from which the consumer is free to choose. How Utopian! So I presume this dashboard will include all kinds of browsers , like Maxthon, Flock, Arora, Lunascape, SRWare Iron, Kmeleon, and QTWeb, right? After all, including only big non-IE names like Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Opera isn’t really fair to the little guys

See the rest here:
Dear EU: Please quit whining about browsers already
